Wine Cheese Socialising And Safety

Last weekend I got invited to a Blogger meet organised by Social potpourri and Safetykart.com.
The event was a close knit one with about 15-20 people.
Social potpourri is a platform started by Kriti Mukherjee and Sulekha Rawat.
You can read more about it HERE.

Kriti is a sweetheart and though i was a little hesitant (initially) she sounded too sweet so i couldn't back out :p They arranged for the conveyance too (Awwww....)

The event was held in a bed and breakfast centre.
So,everything was very homely.
I esp loved the very vintage decor and have tonnes of pics for you to drool over.

Mr.Vikas Bagaria (Managing Director of SafetyKart) was like a kid in Candyland demonstrating all the safety gadgets with much enthusiasm. There was a Taser (electric shocker),pepper spray,ipod/iphone crush proof cover, mini torches, Care safety devices...something for everyone.
You can check out more by visiting their website HERE

At the end of the demo, everyone was starving and started munching on the bread and garlic dips, cheese ,white and red wine with huge varieties of fruits :)

SP- just released their own book called
"Social Potpourri - An Anthology" is a mixed bag of stories about unnatural happenings, love, fear, ambition, marriage, complications, war and more.
It intends to wrap the readers in the folds of the different lives lived by its characters and elevate ones experience of reading.
Each piece has a way of tugging at the reader's emotional chords making the book something to cherish forever.
The book is a collection of short stories, poetry and photographs contributed by members of www.socialpotpourri.com.
It contains soulful tales from the pens of never before published authors with support from four published ones.
The fifteen authors and photographer are a talented mix from United States of America, United Kingdom, India, Egypt, Dubai, Sweden and Canada.
With this launch the online portal hopes to begin an annual process of bringing emerging writers to the forefront.

Everyone was busy chatting ,making new friends and discussing about their passions etc.
Safetykart.com gifted the participants a gift pack consisting of
1.pocket cutter (its a pretty cool one with self retractable blade)
2.Mini pepper spray (which i tried spraying -for trial sake lol when i got home and i couldn't stop choking -
Bad idea hehe)
3.a gift voucher of Rs.250.

OVERALL-

i had a wonderful time meeting the ladies (and gentlemen).
Learnt about helpful safety gadgets.
Esp because of the rising crimes against women in the country,
every girl needs to be ready for anything.
And next time if you mess with me- you know i have a pepper spray :p

  12. Wοаh! Ι'm really digging the template/theme of this website. It'ѕ simple,
yet effeсtive. A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you'vе dоne a superb jοb ωith this.
Іn addіtion, the blog loads suρeг quick for me on Internеt eхplοгеr.
